We will be closed for improvements during the first 3 weeks of September (Sept 1st-Sept 22nd).

We will be changing our restaurant name from Cafe Hibiscus to Swiss Hibiscus and will have new fall and winter hours.

Dinner will be Tuesday thru Saturday from 5pm-close.
Lunch will be served on Saturdays from 11:30-2:30pm.

Swiss Hibiscus

Swiss Hibiscus is a Swiss restaurant located in the heart of the Alberta Arts District in Portland, OR.

Owner/Chef Jennie Wyss and Owner/Manager Tammy Hay welcome you to experience the wonderful flavors of Switzerland cooked in the style of Chef Martin Wyss (Jennie's father).

Dishes such as Roesti (Swiss hashbrowns with bacon and onions) and Spaetzli (or Spaetzel) are the usual starch that is offered with entrees such as Szegedin Goulash, Jaegerschnitzel, Wienerschnitzel, Paprika Schnitzel, or Swiss Bratwurst.

We have vegetarian options and do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions such as gluten free and lactose intolerance. We also now make a gluten free Martin's Swiss Dressing, only available at Cafe Hibiscus by request.
